Booking a Romantic Getaway

Posted on December 30, 2017 at 6:09 pm

A holiday with you other half should be a lovely opportunity to get away for a while and enjoy some quality time together. It is a chance for you to relax, unwind and have a break. The destination you choose has to be just right if you are going to get the most out of your trip away.

If you are going to go somewhere in Europe, look for somewhere warm and sunny. The idea of a romantic break is to relax, so think swimming pools, beaches, sun and cocktails.

If you are able to travel a little further afield, why not think about somewhere like the Philippines? There are some stunning places to see and you will be able to relax and enjoy the scenery. You could also choose somewhere like the Caribbean, where there are lots of stunning beaches and lots of beautiful places to stay with an excellent standard of accommodation.

Getting the Most Out of the Christmas Holidays

Posted on October 30, 2017 at 11:22 pm

Christmas is now only a few weeks away – where has the year gone? If you get some time off over the Christmas period, it’s nice to be able to make the most of it and not to just sit at home eating turkey. Here are some ideas for Christmas breaks:

  • Head out for daytrips. The UK has lots of beautiful destinations and many are right on your doorstep. Make an effort to go a little further afield than you usually would over Christmas.
  • Book cheap flights to a destination for the New Year. This is a great time of year to travel as everyone is in a good mood and you’ll meet some great people.
  • Enjoy a romantic Christmas break away. Take some time out for yourself this year and rather than hosting a lavish Christmas celebration at your house, go away with your partner for a few days, in Europer or the UK.

Some Alternative Travel Options to Flying

Posted on September 1, 2017 at 3:07 pm

Flying is not right for everyone. Some people find they don’t like the sensation of being so high up and out of control. Others prefer not to have the stress of starting their holiday in an airport, surrounded by other stressed people and with the potential for huge delays. If this applies to you, we have some alternative options for you to consider:

  1. Driving. Take your car to Europe with you and give yourself the freedom of being able to drive to different destinations. Make the travelling a part of the trip and take some scenic routes.
  2. Sailing. Ferries can be very good value for money and you can take your car with you as well if you want to.
  3. Train. Use a train like the Eurostar to get to another country or take local trains. You will see some amazing sights along the way, especially if you take a mountain or coastal route.

You could find yourself getting some excellent value for money.

Lots of people will book their holidays a long way in advance to get good deals. However, it’s also possible to get very good deals last minute. You probably won’t have as much choice however, if you are flexible about where you travel, you will be able to find yourself some cheap holidays all over the world. It also helps to be a little bit flexible with dates and to search over a slightly extended period. Don’t enter a destination – just look for holidays in general and see where you could go.
