Deciding to go on a Golfing Holiday

Posted on January 27, 2017 at 1:14 pm

If you are an avid golfer, then a golfing holiday could be the perfect break for you. It is the ideal way to practice your game and work on your skills, all whilst in a beautiful setting where you can get away from it all. Here are some points to help you plan your dream golfing vacation:

  • Select your destination carefully. Check what the weather will be like before you go, or you could end up spending very little time out on the golf course. The Algarve is known for its mild temperatures and is an excellent destination.
  • Decide what you are doing about equipment. If you take it on a plane with you, it might incur extra costs. Plan for this, or hire golf clubs when you arrive.
  • Plan to stay close to the golf course. This will give you good access, as well as potentially saving you some money when you want to go onto the course.

Glamping on an African Safari

Posted on January 29, 2014 at 4:00 pm

Glamping is a wonderful way of going on holiday. It really brings two different types of holidaying together, combining them in a new and exciting way. It brings the high quality service, and luxurious living environment of top quality hotels, and combines that with the experience of living closely to nature.

Glamping has become an increasingly common method of holidaying, particularly in confluence with safari holidays in Africa. It takes you closer to the outside world than any other type of safari holiday, and leaves a lot of room for you to experience the wonderful wildlife throughout the world.

There are many ways to glamp, although the most common seems to be a pavilion constructed with all the creature comforts one would expect on a luxurious holiday included. There are also holiday packages where you get to spend your time in a tree house, among the forest canopy, a unique experience if ever there was one. Both these modes of residence are similar, allowing you to experience the wildlife like you can on any camping trip; albeit in a choice location, but combining that with the luxury one would expect from a top class hotel.

British Holidays by the River

Posted on November 7, 2013 at 4:28 pm

There are more holiday destinations in England than some may think, and it certainly offers a different taste to package beach holidays abroad. So if you are contemplating a change next year, perhaps searching for peace and quiet, then a cottage holiday by the river could be perfect.

Like many other countries England, Scotland and Wales have vast amounts of culture too, and each can benefit from countryside walks, far reaching views, and traditional food. British holidays are often associated with the sea resorts like Brighton, Yarmouth and Cornwall, and if you wanted a truly different type of holiday, then accommodation by a river could be superb.

The Ouse and the Nene benefit from a different type of scenery, and by staying nearby in a small cottage you can be given a truly traditional countryside feel. Make sure you consider a British River Holiday next year if you’re looking for something different.

Checklist for the Beach and Pool

Posted on October 6, 2013 at 6:52 pm

When people think of a summer holiday, it’s very rare when it doesn’t involve a pool or a beach, but if your holiday does, travelagentsandholidays are issuing you with a checklist.

We’ll start with the sea. Firstly you’re going to need money, sounds weird, but your very unlikely to come across a beach where sun loungers are free, especially across Europe, or if you want to cut cost, just place a towel out on the sand, but it son gets everywhere and it can become a bit of a nuisance.

A Snorkelling kit can be extremely useful, if you want to explore and make the most of the clear waters. Flip-flops, towels, sunglasses, and a camera are all a must, while we also recommend a rubber ring or a lilo, so you can gently float over the bouncing waves. Assuming you’re not holidaying alone, purchase a bat and ball, it can be an extremely addicting holiday activity, and it can also get quite competitive.

Obviously you’re not going to be spending all your time in the water, so a magazine or a book is a must. We recommend this over an electrical device such as an iPad, a phone or an e-book reader, purely because it can get damages.

The pool can be similar to a beach in terms of what to take, but we recommend a volleyball or a beach ball, mainly because at the sea it can begin to float far away, while the pool is more secure, just make sure it stay in the pool, and not on a holiday goers lap.
