Staying Safe When Travelling as a Family

Posted on November 20, 2020 at 8:21 pm

Staying safe is very important when going anywhere with your family, be it in the UK or further afield, and travel safety considerations should always take priority. Here are some tips to help you stay safe when on holiday or travelling with family:

  • Understand the local customs and culture. Do your research before you go and make sure you are familiar with what the country will expect of you.
  • Always stay aware of your surroundings. Don’t go to places that seem too quiet – there might be a reason for that. There is no need to be afraid of everything, but have your wits about you. This advice will serve you well wherever you are travelling in the world.
  • Stay together. Don’t let people go off alone, especially younger children. Ensure that you know and are familiar with the area before allowing this, and even then, always keep an eye out for each other.

What Should you Expect from a Golf Villa?

Posted on July 2, 2019 at 9:20 pm

As golfing holidays become more popular than ever before, there are many resorts, villages and other places to stay in Portugal that prioritise golf. If you want to have a good few games of golf, whilst also enjoying some sun and sand, then choosing the right villa is essential. Location is everything in the Algarve region.

You shouldn’t expect any less of a golf villa, just because it is part of a golfing resort. In fact, many have excellent facilities and an excellent outlook, so you should definitely find a villa that you deem to be good value for money and that will provide you with a comfortable stay in Portugal. Many have air conditioning and all the most modern facilities, important if you want to be comfortable in the heat of the Portuguese summer. You can also find apartments with modern kitchens and bathrooms, and often with outdoor space to relax, too.

Deciding to go on a Golfing Holiday

Posted on January 27, 2017 at 1:14 pm

If you are an avid golfer, then a golfing holiday could be the perfect break for you. It is the ideal way to practice your game and work on your skills, all whilst in a beautiful setting where you can get away from it all. Here are some points to help you plan your dream golfing vacation:

  • Select your destination carefully. Check what the weather will be like before you go, or you could end up spending very little time out on the golf course. The Algarve is known for its mild temperatures and is an excellent destination.
  • Decide what you are doing about equipment. If you take it on a plane with you, it might incur extra costs. Plan for this, or hire golf clubs when you arrive.
  • Plan to stay close to the golf course. This will give you good access, as well as potentially saving you some money when you want to go onto the course.
